There’s something about April that feels like a gentle nudge forward. The burst of early spring softens into something steadier with greener leaves, longer days, and the quiet reassurance that things are unfolding just as they should. I love seeing the blooms and greenery around the gazebo in my backyard. It’s my favorite part of stepping out back this time of the year!

April has its own easy rhythm. Dogwoods are showing off, porches are back in use, and there’s just enough warmth in the air to make you want to stay outside a little longer. It’s a good month to slow down and notice what’s right in front of you.

This time of year always reminds me a little of tending our gardens. Not everything blooms at once, and not everything needs fixing. Some things simply need time, a little care, and the right conditions. And sometimes, growth is happening beneath the surface long before we can see it.

In this issue, that same feeling carries through in so many ways. Karen brings both flavor and reflection, from Crab Stuffed Mushrooms to What Does Easter Mean to You and later gives us something to think about in 300 Billion Views and We Still Didn’t Ask the Right Questions. Brenda keeps tradition alive with her Frozen Strawberry Jam, while Sandy helps us ease into the season with Spring Cleaning, Part 2 and a classic Preacher’s Cake. Kiya takes us from a Spring Reset on Vancouver Island while Karen is in Florida and Sanabel, Becky gathers us for Book Club, and Gino brings us back to what matters most with Traditions at the Table.   In A Time to Bloom, we’re focusing on Nourish: The Art & Soul of Eating Well, a reminder that nourishment goes beyond what’s on your plate. It’s in how you care for yourself, the choices you make each day, and the space you give yourself to simply be.   There is sooo much more and we hope you will join us to see what’s in store.

April also brings its share of gatherings and traditions from Easter tables to afternoons spent soaking up a little sunshine. However this month looks for you, I hope you’ll move through it at your own pace. Because blooming isn’t something we rush.

Here’s to tending what matters, trusting the timing, and blooming right where you’re planted.
