Hellooooo January! Once the countdown ends and the confetti settles, January brings with it quiet promise.  The rush of the holidays eases up, the calendar pages turn, and there’s a collective exhale as we step into a fresh year. Instead of charging ahead with big resolutions and bold declarations, I like to think of January as an invitation to slow down a bit, take stock, and choose how we want this next season to feel.

As we begin 2026 together, Unconditionally Her is kicking off 2026 in meaningful new ways. Along with all the content you know and love, including delicious recipes, refreshing sips, uplifting inspiration, lifestyle favorites, and plenty more, we’re leaning into three themes this year that invite deeper connection and richer living: reading together, exploring together, and serving together. They’re the kinds of things that remind us that life is sweeter when it’s shared.

You’ll see this come to life through our Book Club with Becky, where stories turn into shared experiences and conversations linger long after the last page is turned. And through Destination Diaries, we’ll keep packing our bags and heading out, sometimes to faraway places, sometimes just down the road. Because a change of scenery, whether it’s a weekend getaway or a simple day trip, has a way of clearing the mind, lifting the spirit, and reminding us how good it feels to step outside our everyday routine and come back refreshed. Along the way, you’ll also find gentle reminders of the power of serving others in simple, meaningful ways, because lending a hand or offering a little kindness has a way of bringing us right back to what matters most.  These are great additions to our “usuals” which our readers have come to expect! We will also welcome new columnists, celebrate with new gatherings and perhaps our biggest announcement, a change in our 501c3 initiatives and an opportunity for YOU to get involved in the goodness we are sharing.

As we launch into a new year together, here’s the scoop on the inspiration behind the 2026 A Time to Bloom health and wellness coaching series. Can you believe the column is now in its second year? My brainstorming began one cozy afternoon at our 2025 holiday gathering at Karen Shayne’s home, where the Unconditionally Her team and friends gathered around, sharing stories, laughter, and a few exciting announcements about what’s ahead in 2026. That afternoon sparked so much meaningful conversation and made something wonderfully clear: these same three themes, travel, stories, and service, aren’t just joyful extras, but powerful contributors to our well-being. It felt only natural to weave them into my health and wellness coaching articles throughout the year. After all, travel refreshes us, stories change us, and serving others reminds us what truly matters. Each month, you’ll notice little threads of these ideas tucked into A Time to Bloom, a sweet reminder of that special afternoon with friends that started it all starting with our first them of “Begin Again” a gentle mindset focused on daily rhythm, balance, and compassionate self-awareness. Rather than resolutions, it’s an approach that encourages easing into the year with grace, creating supportive routines, honoring our natural pace, and building momentum without overwhelm. It’s a softer way to step into a new year, one rooted in kindness toward ourselves.

January doesn’t ask us to have everything figured out. It simply asks us to begin with one choice, one habit, and one moment at a time.

We’re so glad you’re here as this new year unfolds. May 2026 be a year of steady growth, connection, and plenty of room to begin again, in your own time and in your own way. Settle in and stay awhile and be Unconditionally YOU!
