A blackberry bramble cocktail is a perfect transition drink from summer to fall. It’s refreshing and fruity and combines the natural sweetness of blackberries with the tangy flavor of freshly squeezed lemons making this a delicious drink for parties or tailgates. This delicious cocktail is made by muddling fresh blackberries with sugar and lemon juice to create a flavorful syrup, which is then mixed with gin or vodka and topped off with crushed ice. Blackberry Bramble Cocktail
1/2 cup fresh blackberries
1 1/2 ounces of fresh lemon juice
2–ounces vodka or dry gin
1–ounce simple syrup
1oz blackberry infused syrup
Blackberry Sparking Water (Clearly Canadian – you can also use plain sparkling water)
Fill a glass with crushed ice.
Muddle ripe juicy blackberries with fresh lemon juice in a shaker. Fill with ice. Add gin, Cassis, blackberry-infused syrup and simple syrup. Shake well. Strain into your glass over ice and top with sparkling water and stir. Garnish with a twist of lemon and fresh blackberries.
