In today’s delightful video edition of Cooking with Grammy, we embarked on a sweet Easter journey to craft delectable butterscotch bird egg nests alongside Grammy and Caroline. As we adorned each nest with rich Mini Cadbury Chocolate Eggs, the creations transformed into miniature works of art, evoking the notion of springtime and the hint of Easter memories to come. With Grammy’s guidance and Caroline’s infectious enthusiasm (and delightful sugar high), the nests became a reminder that the sweetest moments are often found in the simplest of pleasures shared with loved ones.

Easter Bird Nests

You will need:
6 oz white chocolate chips
12 oz butterscotch chips
3 cups chow mein noodles
1 pkg Mini chocolate eggs (we used Mini Cadbury Eggs) or spring-colored M&Ms

Instructions:
*Melt white chocolate chips and butterscotch chips in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals until melted.
*Stir in chow mein noodles.
*Place spoonfuls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
*As nests begin to harden, form them into nests by pressing down the middles. Add chocolate eggs to the middle of each nest.

Chill and serve.

What’s so great about this recipe is that you can change up the flavors with these substitutions… Instead of chow mein noodles, try 12oz of pretzel sticks, potato sticks, rice cereal, cornflakes, or toasted coconut. Instead of butterscotch chips try dark chocolate chips or milk chocolate chips and mix with 6oz of white bark, almond bark, or peanut butter.
