This dark chocolate strawberry wafer dessert was inspired by something spotted online and brought to life in my own kitchen for a Valentine’s gathering with friends. Sometimes the magic isn’t in inventing something new, but in recreating it with care, creativity, and just the right personal touch.

Melted dark chocolate, crafted into little delicate wafers and topped with freshly diced strawberries, created a dessert that was suprisingly elegant, simple, and undeniably crowd‑pleasing. Each piece was perfect for sharing while having lingering conversations, and sweet moments around the table.

This version keeps things approachable and intuitive, proving that inspiration plus good ingredients is all you really need. It’s really a quick fix for ANY occasion – but especially for Valentine’s Day!

Dark Chocolate Wafers
w/ Fresh Strawberries

Ingredients

Optional (but lovely)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the strawberries
Wash, hull, and finely dice the strawberries. I used a dicer – quick and easy. Set aside on a paper towel to absorb excess moisture. Afterwards, place in the refrigerator to cool.
  2. Melt the chocolate
Place the dark chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in 20–30 second intervals, stirring between each, until fully melted and smooth.
  3. Form the wafers
Spoon small rounds of melted chocolate onto parchment paper, gently spreading into wafer-sized circles.
  4. Set
Allow the wafers to cool at room temperature until firm, or place them in the refrigerator for 10–15 minutes to speed things up.
  5. Finish & serve
Place your strawberries in a bowl around the wafers for complete set up. Trust me, they’re beautiful. They will serveApproximately 20–24 wafers (depending on size)

Optional: add a tiny pinch of flaky sea salt or drizzle with white chocolate once set.
