Welcome to Unconditionally Her! It’s that time of the year. You know- that time when the leaves start turning and the air gets a little crisper. It’s my favorite time of the year and I bet for many of our readers it may be yours as well!

What is it about fall that some of us like so much? Maybe it’s the weather being just about perfect – not too hot or too cold. Or maybe the magical fall foliage with the comforting warm colors. Or maybe it’s Halloween and Thanksgiving that do it for some, or the fall fashion with hoodies, sweaters, and boots. Or the opportunity to adorn our homes and yards with “everything fall” like my mailbox.

For some it’s the “back to routine” after an unstructured summer. For me, I think it’s a bit of “all of the above” that really makes fall my favorite season. Did you know that cooler temperatures encourage us to spend more time in nature which has been connected with improvements in happiness, well-being, relationships and a sense of purpose (Bradman et al., 2019)? It’s true, and just another reason to love October and the fall season.
Unconditionally Her is ready for October with plenty of inspiration, education, food, and fun! If food is what you are looking for, we have Tater Tot Casserole, Italian Chicken and Rice, Tailgate Bacon and Swiss Dip and more. Cocktail Hour features a Plum Sangria and a Cherry Cordial and Chocolate you won’t want to miss and that might taste pretty good while reading our Book Club feature this month, Ina Garten’s Memoir. We’ll have a great feature story on the unseen sacrifices of our beloved clergy and another from Tara, a breast cancer survivor with a story that will certainly inspire. I’m back with another A Time to Bloom health and wellness coaching feature that, like fall, is full of change and promise. You’ll find all of this and more in the crisp fall days ahead!
Thank you for joining us as we launch fully into fall into the beautiful month of October.
Be Encouraged, Be Empowered, Be Inspired – Be Unconditionally YOU!
