Welcome to Unconditionally Her and to February, the month of hearts! I hope that January was a great launch into the new year for our readers and that there is excitement for what is to come in this new decade and this new month. What is your favorite thing about February? It’s still cold and there is not much sunshine, but it’s a new month and full of opportunity – AND in 2020 it’s a leap year which doesn’t happen often. And there are hearts everywhere, which always takes me back to my younger days and makes me smile!

What do we have in store at Unconditionally Her? Featured recipes, great health info, Untold feature stories that are true stories of courage, inspiration, healing and will sometimes pull at those heart strings, the healing power of helping others, and a few surprises along the way.
As you journey through February, think about what makes your heart happy. And do more of it. And make someone else’s heart happy. It’s a great feeling and it’s good for you, too. Did you know that research shows that helping others is actually beneficial for your own mental health and well-being? And that it can help reduce stress, improve emotional well-being and even be beneficial to your physical health as well? What a great deal, huh?!? Take care of your heart and someone else’s this month and do something that creates more happiness in your lives and reap the many rewards.
I have shared this before and will share it again, as it bears repeating. One of my favorite quotes is from Helen Keller. “The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched. They must be felt with the heart.” What a perfect time of the year to reflect on this quote. I hope that February brings beauty and love– not just the things you can see and touch, but feelings of inspiration, joy, happiness, and love. We strive to help make that happen through this month’s features.
