This past spring, I had the privilege of visiting Banff with my CO-XST buddies.  While visiting, I was ate at Earl’s, a delightful restaurant located in the heart of the town.  I tried this interesting drink made with Yuzu, something I had never had before in a cocktail.  So, of course, I had to come back to the states and craft my own cocktail.

This hibiscus martini is an amazing (and different) kind of spirited drink that aims to please even the toughest cocktail critic.  Yuzu is not an easy cordial to find, but thankfully, there is Amazon which carries several brands.  I personally get the most authentic at about $13 for a small bottle.  Same thing for hibiscus syrup (I suggest Monin).

Enjoy this summer spirit from the delightful town on Banff.  And, put this place on your bucket list for travels.  It will not disappoint.
