With autumn upon us, we lean into those warm spices that make fall and the holidays feel so homey.  That’s also true for even iced cocktails.  So, what do you get when you add holiday flavors with some warm bourbon on ice?  Well, I call it The Black Apple.  Tasty Apple Pie and Blackberry Ole Smoky Moonshine make this drink so yummy.  And the dried apple ring?  Well, it takes it to a whole new level.  This is definitely my holiday signature drink this year.  Enjoy!

The Black Apple

2 shots of Ole Smoky Blackberry Moonshine

2 shots of Ole Smoky Apple Pie Moonshine

1 shot of Bourbon

3 c. Sparkling Apple Cider

Dash of ground cloves

1 cinnamon stick

dried apple rings

turbinado sugar for the rim.

In a cocktail pitcher, combine both moonshines and bourbon.  Add the sparking cider and a pinch (dash) of ground cloves.  Stir.  Add your cinnamon stick and dried apple rings.  Let sit at room temperature, stiring occasionally.

Dip the rims of the cocktail glasses in water then in the sugar.  When your guests arrive, add ice to the glasses and pour the mixture.  Add an additional dried apple ring and cinnamon stick to the cocktail and ENJOY.
