Welcome to Unconditionally Her and the month of September!

September always feels like a season of change. The pace of summer slows, school routines are in full swing, and the hint of fall begins to whisper through the air, even if the Tennessee heat hasn’t quite caught the memo yet. Around here, we know that sometimes you have to sip your sweet tea with the A/C humming while you dream of pumpkins on the porch. For me, September has always been a time to reset, to gather up the lessons of the year so far, and to lean into the beauty of what’s ahead. Recently, I refreshed a cozy little nook in my home.  It features a favorite chair, soft lamplight, and my polka dot blanket that I “won” during a Dirty Santa game years ago. It still makes me laugh to think about how I ended up with it, and yet it’s become one of my favorite comforts. That little space has turned into a daily reminder that sometimes even small changes can bring a sense of calm and renewal. It’s also the very theme of my A Time to Bloomhealth and wellness coaching series this month: Change Your Space, Change Your Life – Personal Spaces for Peace and Productivity.

This month at Unconditionally Her, we’re embracing that spirit of change and connection. In the kitchen, Karen brings us Honey Lime Spicy Corn, Pasta Chicken Salad, and her mom’s treasured Rice Pudding recipe, while Becky shares a taste of Wisconsin with her Supper Club Cheese Spread. And don’t miss Sandy with a Cooking with Grammy special. For sipping and savoring, Karen’s Watermelon Blackberry Sangria Spritz and Sandy’s Maple Cinnamon Latte perfectly capture that in-between season when summer lingers but fall is on the horizon.

Our feature articles speak straight to the heart of this season: Karen dives into the midlife shift of menopause that’s finally in the spotlight, explores how to deepen friendships this fall, and challenges us to “swipe less and bond more.” I’ll also share reflections on gratitude, while together we’ll tackle the timely topic of misinformation – what it is and how to recognize it.

For those with a case of wanderlust, Destination Diaries takes us across the pond to Liverpool, England, and Karen shares the top five places to visit this fall. Our Book Club, led by Becky, features Bees in June and Emily Henry’s Great Big Beautiful Life, both guaranteed to inspire and delight. And of course, each Sunday brings an inspirational post to start your week on a thoughtful note.

So, as we turn the page to September, let’s welcome this season of new rhythms, cozy moments, and meaningful connections. Whether you’re stirring a pot in the kitchen, curled up with a good book, or daydreaming about your next adventure, we invite you to join us all month long. Here’s to making the most of September and celebrating being Unconditionally You.

Be Encouraged, Be Empowered, Be Inspired – Be Unconditionally YOU!
