You know those random acts of kindness that just make you go “AWWWW” and tear up a little bit? Well, folks, we had one right here in Nashville.  A local Cadillac dealership out of  Pembroke Pines, FL, offered up 10 tickets to Nashville Shores, an outdoor paradise and water playground for families.   Tickets included access to the water park and a catered meal.  The Women Survivors Alliance was contacted about locating ten survivors who might want a day of fun in the sun, and we had no trouble finding some takers!

Vera Cadillac Buick GMC owner Luis Vera wanted to do something to celebrate his anniversary of being cancer-free and made this generous donation to 10 local cancer survivors as part of  the 2016 Saturn Reunion, an event they co-sponsored at Nashville Shores. Each person also received a gift bag from Kennon Calhoun, a corporate sponsor of the event.   John Calhoun, principal of Kennon Calhoun Workshop, supplied bags for the cancer survivors and said he hopes that they all enjoyed a family-fun filled day.Nashville Shores Picture

What a wonderful way to celebrate being cancer-free and to give cancer survivors an opportunity to enjoy a day of fun.  Kudos to Mr. Vera and to Kennon Calhoun for making this possible!

Perhaps this will challenge our Unconditionally Her readers to “pay it forward” and participate in your own random act of kindness.   There is nothing like the feeling you get when doing something for others!

Oh – and if you are in the market for a new vehicle, please reach out to Mr. Vera! I am sure he would love the opportunity to do business with you! And if you are interested in more information about Kennon Calhoun Workshop, just give us a shout.
