Story & Vine: Where Every Table
Has a Story

There is something meaningful about gathering around a table.

It is where recipes are shared, traditions are carried forward, friendships deepen, and ordinary evenings become memories we hold onto for years.

Story & Vine, created by Unconditionally Her, celebrates the food, people, and stories that bring us together.

Through intimate gatherings, treasured recipes, beautiful tables, and personal storytelling, we hope to inspire women everywhere to slow down, gather the people they love, and create meaningful moments of their own.

More Than A
Supper Club

The Story & Vine is not a traditional supper club. It is a thoughtfully curated gathering designed to bring people together through food, conversation, and shared experiences.

Each gathering begins with a seasonal theme and a welcoming table. Friends, family members, contributors, home cooks, local makers, chefs, authors, and other special guests may be invited to bring a meaningful recipe, prepare a favorite dish, or share a tradition that deserves to be remembered.

The table may be beautifully set, but perfection is never the purpose.

The purpose is connection.

It is the laughter that happens between courses, the story behind a well-loved casserole dish, the recipe passed down without measurements, and the memory that begins with, “My grandmother always made this…”

At The Story & Vine, every dish has the potential to tell a story.

Create Your Own Story & Vine Gathering

There is no single way to host a Story & Vine gathering.

Begin with the people you would love to bring together. Choose food that feels meaningful. Set the table in a way that reflects your personality, and allow the evening to unfold naturally.

You might invite each guest to bring a family recipe, prepare a meal inspired by a favorite place, celebrate a seasonal tradition, or build the evening around one dish and the story behind it.

Your gathering does not need to be elaborate.

It simply needs to feel like you.

An Idea for Your Personal Supper Club

On select evenings, consider inviting your guests to step into the preparation of the meal—shaping fresh pasta, finishing a sauce, assembling a treasured family recipe, or learning a favorite technique from the evening’s host.

These moments do not have to feel like demonstrations or formal cooking lessons. They can simply become shared rituals—an opportunity to gather in the kitchen, laugh together, exchange stories, and enjoy the pleasure of creating something side by side.

Hands in flour. Stories in motion.

Cooking together has always been one of the oldest and most meaningful forms of connection. The recipe becomes part of the conversation, and the preparation becomes part of the memory.

Participation is always optional. Presence is always welcome. Some guests may want to roll up their sleeves, while others may be happiest sharing a glass of wine and enjoying the conversation. Everyone has a place in the experience.

Taste of Traditions

Selected Story & Vine gatherings and reader submissions may be featured as part of Taste of Traditions, an Unconditionally Her series devoted to preserving the recipes, customs, and stories that connect generations.

Through personal essays, treasured recipes, photographs, and occasional video features, Taste of Traditions celebrates not only the meals we remember, but also the people, places, and moments that gave them meaning.

Because a family recipe is rarely just a list of ingredients.

It is a person. A place. A season. A memory.

It may be written in a loved one’s familiar handwriting, prepared every year for a special celebration, or shared so often that no one needs to look at the recipe anymore. These dishes become part of who we are—and sometimes, one of the most beautiful pieces of a family’s story.

Do you have a meaningful recipe, memory, or family tradition to share? We warmly invite you to become part of Taste of Traditions.

Share Your Recipe—and the Story Behind It

You do not have to attend a Story & Vine gathering to become part of the story.

Unconditionally Her invites our readers to share the recipes, photographs, memories, and traditions that make their tables special. Perhaps it is your grandmother’s handwritten biscuit recipe, the dessert your family requests every Christmas, a treasured Sunday supper, or a new dish that has become part of your family’s story.

We would love for you to send us:

  • A favorite recipe
  • The story or memory connected to it
  • Photographs of the finished dish
  • Family photographs connected to the tradition
  • Pictures of your table, celebration, or gathering
  • Helpful cooking tips or special family touches

Selected submissions may be happily shared with our readers through Taste of Traditions, The Story & Vine, and Unconditionally Her’s website and social media channels.

Your table does not need to be perfect, and your photographs do not need to be professionally styled. We want to see the real moments, meaningful dishes, and beloved traditions that bring people together.

By sharing them, you may inspire another family to try your recipe, gather around their own table, or begin a tradition they will treasure for years to come.

Your recipes are worth preserving. Your photographs are worth sharing. And your stories are worth telling.
