Eric Lewis met Karen Shayne when he was hired to be her personal trainer.  In an instant, they connected. Two hours a week in the gym together were coveted as they planned and worked to achieve certain goals in life.  With each week came each sore muscle and healthy recipes shared.  A friendship grew.

Then one afternoon while scrolling on Facebook, Karen read a heartfelt post from Eric and her jaw DROPPED.   With incredible elegance and immense courage, Eric shared his personal struggle with an eating disorder and how it had impacted every area of his life.  The following day at the gym, Karen’s hour with Eric was learning more about his pain how in past years how he has struggled to keep the demons at bay and how he learned life lessons along the way.

But that post was only the beginning.

The transparency of Eric’s story led others to share their struggles  – allowing healing from friends Eric also thought he had known for years.
