As previously shared, the US will celebrate the resilience and triumph of those who have battled cancer on June 2nd, and Unconditionally Her, the Women Survivors Alliance, and Amazing Grace Events Management (AGEM) proudly announce their own initiative to honor survivors on National Cancer Survivors Day.

On June 2nd, 2024, join us for the Celebration of Life 5k Walk/Run, both online with a virtual run and in person, as we unite survivors, co-survivors, and supporters in a testament to strength, hope, and community.

Cancer is a formidable adversary, affecting millions of lives globally. Yet, amidst its challenges, stories of courage, perseverance, and victory emerge. National Cancer Survivors Day is not just a date on the calendar; it’s a symbol of resilience, a reminder that life after cancer is not only possible but worth celebrating.

In hosting the Celebration of Life, Unconditionally Her, the WSA, and AGEM aim to harness the power of unity. Survivors, alongside their co-survivors—friends, family, caregivers—will embark on a journey of solidarity. It’s a race not against each other but against the odds, a collective stride towards a brighter, cancer-free future.

The beauty of the Celebration of Life lies in its inclusivity. Whether you’re a survivor celebrating years of remission, a co-survivor standing in solidarity, or a supporter cheering from the sidelines, this event welcomes all. Regardless of age, background, or geographical location, everyone is invited to participate, both online and in person.

Participating in the Celebration of Life is simple. Register online here to join the virtual race from anywhere in the world. Alternatively, for those eager to feel the camaraderie in person, our local event will be held at E. Carroll Joyner Park in Wake Forest, North Carolina.

On June 2nd, let’s paint the world with the colors of hope. Whether you’re lacing up your running shoes, donating to support survivorship programs, donning your favorite survivor tee, or simply spreading awareness, your presence matters. Together, let’s make this Celebration of Life 5k Walk/Run a testament to the strength of the human spirit and a beacon of hope for generations to come.

And, as we mark National Cancer Survivors Day, Unconditionally Her will be featuring Survivor Sunday as we share stories of survivors from across the world leading up to June 2nd where we will celebrate life, unity, and resilience. Whether online or in person, let’s come together to honor survivors, support co-survivors, and stand in solidarity against cancer. Together, we are stronger. Together, we are unstoppable.
