Welcome to Unconditionally Her!   We’re still getting used to our fabulous new look and hope you are, too!  Our magazine’s recent ten-year anniversary and re-launch has been quite the buzz.  We are so pleased with all the positive feedback!

October is here again.   Our long-time readers know it is my most favorite month of the year.  A while back, I had shared results from a 2021 survey by YouGovAmerica which asked more than 15,000 US adults their favorite and least favorite months.  The poll asked, “Which of the following would you say is your favorite month of the year?” and “Which of the following would you say is your least favorite month of the year?  The poll has been repeated again in 2023 – there was no poll in 2022 – and while October moved to spot #2 from the earlier survey with 14% choosing October as their favorite month, that’s a pretty high ranking out of the lineup of 12 months.  October was second only to December with 15% choosing that month as their favorite month.  For the record, more than a quarter – or 31% – of those who have a least favorite month, chose January with February coming in second with 18% saying it’s their least favorite month. August was a distant third at 10%.  I can’t say that I am surprised by the results and look forward to what is in store this month. The leaves!  The crisp air!  Fall colors!  Hot chocolate! And more!  I’m ready for you, October!

Unconditionally Her has plenty coming at you this month as we celebrate the month of October.    We have food galore – Dump Cake, Grilled Meatloaf, Kale and Quinoa Salad and more, including a Doggie Trick or Treat recipe from Denise Sissom.   Our Cocktail Hour is a Chocolate Martini, and there will be special holiday features as well.  Small Town Charm takes us to Cherokee, North Carolina with Karen and Denise, and if Cancun is more your style, we have a great review of a local resort that you won’t want to miss. Several podcasts will be featured and are sure to inspire, so don’t miss the features on those, and we’ll also hear a breast cancer survivor story in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.  All that and plenty more is on the way.

Thank you for being with us this October.  I am glad that we have Octobers in this world, and we can’t wait to share it with YOU!

Be Encouraged, Be Empowered, Be Inspired – Be Unconditionally YOU!
