Valentine’s Day Orange No Bakes

In a kitchen filled with the sweet aroma of citrus and coconut, Sandy and her granddaughter, Caroline, set out to embark on a delightful Valentine’s Day treat for her dad (and Sandy’s son), Tom. Laughter, joy (and a lot of powdered sugar) danced throughout the house as Grammy and Caroline recreated a recipe first given to Sandy by Tom years ago from his first cooking class. This venture yielded many smiles as together, these two crafted a unique and refreshing gift—a testament to the special bond between generations and the simple pleasures of family traditions.

Happy Valentine’s Day to all the amazing dads out there!

Valentine’s Day Orange No-Bakes

Recipe for Orange Balls:

1 box vanilla wafers (11 or 12 oz finely ground in a food processor)
1 pound powdered sugar (I used about 4/5 of the bag)
1/2 cup butter, softened
1/2 can frozen orange juice concentrate
1/2 cup coconut (optional)

Mix all ingredients then shape into 1 to 2 inch balls. Chill 1 to 2 hours and serve. Makes 4 dozen.
